Very few people who have gone to orbit (actual space) were anywhere near 'rich'. The reason rich people are the ones funding current space companies is because they are literally the only ones that can do it, other than the larg

The content is the diff (including description/test plan), which I'd argue should be the name. It could be in a draft state, awaiting review, accepted for merge, or being merged. 'diff' is the shortest at most descriptiv

While there is value to distribution, having only 3 plugs where any number could be full or non-functional upon arrival easily ruins a whole trip.

This implies they didn't, which is false. CCS was released slightly before the Model S (first to use Tesla's connector). Both were developed at the same time. At the time, there was no viable alternative for Tesla. Now, there is n

Not sure where any of these suggestions come from. Superchargers have the highest utilization and uptime in the industry. Thinner means more accessible/easier to use. CCS is wholly unreliable if it is even slightly at the wrong angle,

Teslas (and their Superchargers) shipped there before ~2019 had the same plug, before they switched to CCS. I'm not sure how 3-phase fits in, but it didn't prevent being at least as useful as in the U.S.

Tesla is still >70% of EVs in the U.S. and Aptera has already adopted their plug (hopefully shipping soon). We are still within bounds of choosing the superior connector. It isn't too late like in Europe, especially since US bound v

I would guess that the 'look' is the verb. The Dom is now able to actively look, as if it were an eye.

Waymo has HD maps that require regular 'trawling', just like Google Street view. They are also very conservative in turns, generally avoiding unprotected lefts. They also are much less human-like.

Pretty sure humans haven't been striving for drivers licenses for millions of years... Tesla does use Lidar on a small number of test vehicles for assessing ground truth. However, they have built enough of a data pipeline and fleet dat

Trust me, the majority of sites are not much better even in the most high-tech of areas. Even large chains can have terrible sites and experiences. Just print a few hundred pieces of paper, and your customers will tell your employees which

I agree that it likely is a nothingburger, but I wonder what the ratio looks like. The coal industry was probably much more sizeable than the number of workers working on rockets.

This sounds like the exact CTA of countless YouTubers asking for Patreon support. No level of coffers or ever increasing support changes their ask. (which to me is ok)

It isn't US based, so they are likely blatantly ripping it off with no permission to get eyes on their company. There are unlikely to be any legal ramifications. The less likely possibility is that they did get rights, but look so shad

Those all physically limit any signal. Starlink already communicates with the ground, just depends on reading phone signal from noise at that altitude. That is the intent of Starlink. Some amount of connectivity everywhere. For all the corn

They have tested it in a lab to show it is possible. There is nothing physically limiting it from working. Getting the v2 satellites up is an unmet milestone, not proof that it won't work.

Solar and distributed storage help fight this. A significant amount of charging off peak also actually reduces the load, making things more reliable and cleaner. Fire related grid shutdowns are usually hyperlocal, meaning the few who need t
