A long time ago was in 2002 or so. But warranty work still drove most of dealer profits back then, so I suspect there was still the same push.

What's missing from the discussion is the opposite though. I worked at a dealership (albeit a long time ago) and many mechanics loved warranty work as some would be listed as a 2 hour job but would only take 1.25hr or whatever. So they

As one of the top level comments say, the images are all from https://randomuser.me/ which is suspect. If you don't have a profile picture of them, then I'd suggest not using it. Or link to actual sources of feedb

I made a spreadsheet that integrated with Trello so you could send SMS messages from the sheet. I actually ended up selling the Google Workspace add-on to someone.

It the same with CRISPR. If you see a headline about "curing" this or that, good chance you'll see the word CRISPR in the article.

It requires "AI" in the sense of how we all wave our hands and call everything AI nowadays. But a daily digest of the past day, upcoming day and future events/tasks would be a good "AI" feature that might actually b

Thanks for those links (really). However, having now used them, it turns out I still don't like Facebook. It's basically the same 3-4 users posting things I utterly do not care about. I guess the people I do care about are not on

It's all a grift. The cynic in me says that if you looked close enough, you'd find some large deposits into Trump coin or World Liberty Finacial shortly before this announcement.

Apple obviously could create a multi day phone battery, they would just need to make it thicker. But there are 230 million people that buy an iPhone every year. I suspect Apple knows what it's doing.

But a phone with a 36 hour battery that still requires charging at night leaves the user/owner thinking "This is disappointing, I thought I could get 36 hours". As opposed to a user who has "all day charge" and char

Unless you can deliver multi-day battery, it's useless to provide anything more than all day battery. If the battery can only last 1.5 days for example, then the user is stuck trying to find a charge in the middle of the day. All day b

Fellow Calgarian here. I like how the term "plus 15" refers to any elevated path in Calgary. For example, the link between the new cancer centre and Foothills Hospital is often referred to as the Plus 15.

If someone wanted American owned companies to compete (or win), they wouldn't take 20% top line revenue of products sold to China. They'd allow those companies to spend that money on R&D to continue to compete against Chinese

One anecdote/example that has stuck with me is a heard of caribou in the Canadian north. In winter, they typically dig through the snow to find plants to eat. One year, with rising temperatures, a large area was left with a thick layer

That's incorrect. A scroll blade is just like any other saw blade, but moves up and down many times a minute. It will 100% cut you if you touch the front of the blade.

I think we give these companies too much leeway. I live in Canada and there is a palpable hate on for American's following the "51st State" talk. This has led to increased patriotism and companies are cashing in. Within weeks
