If it's a condition for international travel, which in some way it likely will be, then anyone wanting to travel won't really have a choice. Given that, I'll be getting it. Australia is in a bit of a weird position in that I

Perhaps. Or it'll be like civil engineering or something, where the fundamental principles really stay similar even as technology/theory dramatically improves.

Why wouldn't you at least just reverse proxy the popular pages or hell, put them on S3 or something? The ones checked by the general public, at least, could be statically generated and stored in s3 with a simple schedule!

It's the Thiel Question. The value in it is supposed to be that it generates thoughtful and insightful responses - if you are right and 99% of people are wrong then that is indeed impressive. Unfortunately, it selects purely from the

What about a culture where honesty is instilled and you can have frank discussions about what works, and what does not, directly with your employees?

I suppose a manager is also an employee, but Manager inherits from Employee with a .fire() method seems wrong, no? I'd expect a method which takes another object or ID, not to change the state of the object with the fire() method. Anyw

You mean falsely, otherwise your 'clear and present danger' part doesn't make sense - the entire point historically with your example is that it is perfectly acceptable to yell in the theatre if there is clear and present dan

You mean falsely yell 'fire' in a crowded theatre - an exceedingly important distinction which is core to much discussion about free speech (should offensive speech be allowed if it is stating facts etc.)

I'm also curious what you mean by this - do you mean accessibility in the sense of what languages like Elm try to do?

Mostly due to interest in FP being driven by intrinsic desire to use it, since it's so rare in enterprise. Anyway, a lot of that discussion filters down into more popular languages, so it's pretty incorrect to think of it as all a

My point isn't that 'cardio and working out' are not how one gets fit, it's that achieving 'fitness' is more than 'cardio and working out'. The words are overloaded, and I think your very last sentenc

It depends. Do you see losing weight as a purely physical phenomenon, or do you see it as one that's heavily influenced by psychology and other such factors? The actual physical act of losing weight i.e. reducing one's mass needs

People not sticking with it is really an added point to the reality that calories in/out is a very poor model for losing weight, even if it is completely correct at a physical level.

That's clearly no choice at all. It either is a choice or it is not, and restrictions that severe clearly indicate that no, it would not be a choice. You realise how transparent that is, right?
