Meh, different life experiences then. I've never had any trouble with it. Then again I could be autistic and haven't noticed / cared. In a business setting, the room should bend to facts, not group-think.

At the risk of another downvote-avalanche in this uncritical echo chamber of anti-brexitism, I'll say that I still think it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. I was against the whole thing in the beginning, but there's no reason that

I wish we had a culture of just basic common sense. If you are ill, do not come into the office. You are not showing dedication, you are showing how inconsiderate and dickish you are.

Was going to say this. I went from what he describes as the solution, to what he describes as the antithesis, for the exact reasons he went in the opposite direction. Funny eh?

I thought _emacs_ had the standard shortcuts and vim was weird. After all, I can ctrl-a (beginning of line), ctrl-e (end of line), modifier-b (back one word), etc. all in my terminal, as well as most non-Windows desktops (including MacOS).

Heh, yeah okay fair enough. So to re-itterate definition I'm challenging: "Winning means beating other people at something you find easier than them". I have two issues with it: The first keeps in the spirit of "winning&

I agree that the UK has had a paper economy for a long time now, but to a lesser extent, so do other EU countries. Not that I don't think this is a mistake, only that it should show that this is not the issue. The issue is pessimism, s

This sounds like obvious and poor advice to me. Summary of all those words could be: Don't challenge yourself, only do things that you already find easy because winning is the most important thing. Of course, this depends on your defin

That's the frustrating stage with learning a language; the part where you don't know enough to pick up the gist of a sentence, but learning more requires you to first pick up the gist of the sentence. I'm not sure what the so

That actually sounds great. If it were particularly smart, it could even take apart the bits of the language you were having problems with — and unbeknownst to you — concentrate on developing those with you.

Makes sense. Another thing that occurred to me a while ago was that iPhones have a 61% market share in the U.S.A., whereas Android dominates in Europe (65%). So it could well be that people in Europe with iPhones don't bother trying to

In the U.S.A., people use iMessage by default, because they use text messaging. People don't use texts in Europe (we use WhatsApp and similar, but WhatsApp by a long margin). The reason people still use texts in the U.S.A. is up for de
