My common advice is: bite the bullet and learn it. Specifically, delve deeper past the porcelain commands and understand what they do. Also, for a while I stopped using “git pull” and used “git fetch” and manually managed merges and branch

The other common approach here (for non-generative images) is to store the Sha3 hash of an image and then simply require that someone, somewhere has the actual data. You could also pass the image as a LOG message which is significantly chea

I generally consider it rude to not use headphones in a meeting. The primary issue is you can't have simultaneous talking when someone isn't using headphones, since most applications auto-cancel audio input when they detect feedba

For example: I use terraform to create two EC2 nodes on a VPC and an ALB load balancer. Then I use Ansible to connect to those nodes and install Nginx and (re-)deploy my application code. If you're not going the route of full container

You could run a SHA256 hash of random values and send it to a database in hopes of mining a Bitcoin block with it one day when the input (block hash) happens to match. It's only 2^256 times less efficient than standard mining technique

Sure, for example, try Gauntlet's voting wallet: 0x6626593c237f530d15ae9980a95ef938ac15c35c. The page appears to show its voting on Uniswap proposals. [0] https://gauntlet.network/

Without delving into the data, wouldn’t a plausible explanation be that we regulate and/or subsidize those industries _because_ they are the most inflationary? Industries with downward price trends don’t often need consumer protections

I assume it's making a value-weighted move. To keep things interesting, you might choose from several moves that have similar EVs, esp. since the system only looks 4 moves deep, so there's uncertainty around how much better a give

For me, AWS Opsworks. It felt like once containers came into vogue, they stopped working on the product and it was nigh impossible to switch back to vanilla Chef.

As a user of GCP, this really feels like a HackerNews meme that doesn't have any substance. I have never had a GCP feature killed, but I've had many AWS features mothballed. I am not really sure how to change the perception here s

As far as I've seen, not very web specific at all. Everything that you might fear being included is actually linked in and is not part of the VM at all (e.g. all Web APIs).

I would disagree. Coinbase's value is based on volume and volatility. If anything, stable values are the worst time for exchanges, as experienced in early 2019.

There’s not just “1 stock.” Let’s say: A loans a share to be B who sells to C who loans to D and so on. You end up with a multiplier on nominal stock, always, and that’s perfectly normal. I really don’t understand the moralistic argument h

The First Amendment to the Constitution explicitly forbids "Congress" from "abridging the freedom of speech." It goes no further. There's certainly a question of public policy here, but that result will be unlikely

Parler is not simply failing to "instantly achieve perfect moderation," and, I personally believe it is disingenuous to speculate the fact. The service's core principals include strict limits to moderation.
