As a Tcl fan, I was just clowning around; but as a matter of curiosity, there do happen to be a number of possibly-credible Tcl web frameworks. I haven’t done any homework on any of them. https://wiki.tcl.tk/40649

I'd also like to hear more about what you mean. I imagine 'Platonism' refers to his theory of the forms, which as an example of abstraction seems pretty useful, if taken in his case to an extreme. He seems pretty solid on mod

I doubt gp is encouraging people to jump into threads to say they don't know something. I imagine the insight is that online communication lends itself too well to an unfavorable s/n, one that militates against reasoned discussion

I'm reminded of a time in Chicago when I saw one of a group of three teenagers deliberately and casually drop his trash on the floor of a public bus. Both of his peers looked at him askance and he said, "What? I pay taxes." T

I'm sitting here thinking about what the world would look like with a much smaller, more expensive, higher quality, less intrusive www, and I'm not sure I'm opposed to that; esp assuming anyone who wants to could still put up

Last time I was on Ubuntu, ctl+alt+F1 through F6 were virtual terminals; F7 was the gui. Edit: I've usually been on Macs for the last three years, and I miss that functionality almost daily.

This is the year I'm finally going to learn front end, just enough to prototype. Don't roast me alive, but I'm thinking of starting with jQuery. It seems much more learnable for a web stack beginner, and probably serviceable

For my whole life the enjoyment of watching sports has been essentially a black box. I can hypothesize a variety of compelling reasons why someone would enjoy it, but I have zero empathy there. It's a complete mystery. So much so that
