This will make motherboards more expensive and fragile. Desktop chipsets from Intel can only support two generations of processors. While a good PSU can have ten years of warranty.

For Linux userland, there are also musl and uClibc-ng. Other platforms have their own libcs.

Blaming Linux will not solve the problem. Throw your questions to those manufacturers and ask them to improve the current situation. Or you can contribute to open source hardware. If you just want to blame, surly nobody could prevent you fr
