To be clear, there are two products: one labeled “anyway spray” which sprays in any direction and one labeled “sprays upside down” which sprays right side up or completely upside down. Seems fair to me.

Thanks to the Constitution that would be a three part effort but I have no doubt that it’s doable in today’s America. With one more Supreme Court vacancy Trump could surely do it.

There is a company’s soul when it’s run and fully controlled by the founder. After that all bets are off.

But Apple is investing so heavily in the privacy branding that they have much more to lose by doing so.

I don’t see what’s in this for Reddit. They can’t possibly get sued for not doing this.

That’s not “really misleading,” it’s “barely misleading” or perhaps “slightly misleading.”

Undo support can 5x the cost of a feature and in some cases is impossible (instructing some other entity to perform an action). It’s not feasible in all scenarios.

CLIs are great for executing known actions. GUIs are for discovering what you can do.

Not really. The influence:price ratio of academia is very high -- they can be bought very cheaply. It doesn't really take much to fund a study compared to the earnings of a big corporation. Tesla or similar could easily fund anti-fossi

Have you read the laws on soybean farming or are you just making assumptions? Computer programs are small because they have limited forms of input. Because the input to law is the full universe of possible human behavior, law as code would

Man, if the UK offered compassionate release to the Kray twins it has gone full bizarro.

Exactly. I’m convinced that this new “death penalty is so horrible” movement has kicked into high gear only because crime rates are low enough and society is segregated enough that many people don’t know any murder victims.

Not everyone in prison is a violent criminal, but danger or no danger I strongly oppose “compassionate release” for any murderer or other severely violent criminal. I don’t see a reason to offer compassion to those who perpetrated malice on

I’m not suggesting it, it’s what’s WhatsApp pricing in India was. Take it up with Koum.

It's more than that -- in many of their biggest markets (e.g. India) they waived the $1 fee entirely so all of their users there were free. So you can't really figure out the conversion ratio because it was never tried.

Your analysis assumes that WhatsApp cost $0 to maintain and grow and that 2-day old infants are using WhatsApp, and ignores the fact that the vast majority of WhatsApp users at the time of acquisition had not even paid the $1.
