Yes, that’s what the OP is saying. Consumers fought against DRM so the business model became “never give them the software and you’ll never need to force DRM on them.”

Remove and delete are distinct actions in shared file systems. “Remove” gets it out of your Google Drive. But if it’s a shared file, it’s not yours to delete, or if your company has a retention policy, you may not have the permission to del

Damn, I’m already imagining them like the climate change movies where a 800-foot tsunami hits Manhattan. 200 million self driving cars have become hostile and are trying to kill the humans. The problem is that they have commandeered a group

China has been developing its manufacturing expertise at the highest levels (they built the Bay Bridge) and their control of industrial resources (they have bought a big percentage of Africa). China is to the rest of the world as Apple is t

Uber did not get unlucky -- they are simply an evil company. Their cars need human intervention every 13 miles as opposed to Google's every 5,600 miles -- they were not fit for the road but Uber let them out anyways. Uber should be shu

I don't see evidence here of anything more than the application of techniques long-used by advertisers like General Motors and Unilever to the political arena. It may be odious, and may make the world a worse place, but it is not parti

Distribution is even more important in a long tall world. There is so much great stuff on YouTube now that I rely on blogs and other intermediaries to tell me what’s worth watching. Similarly for movies I look to places that tell me what is

Facebook doesn’t need to predict — they can buy when it’s already big. They are able to monetize users much better than random startup social network so they are able to pay much more per engaged user than the company could get from VCs or

The entire purpose of Cannes is to showcase films which need distribution. It’s pointless to show films there which have already secured distribution. It’s worth noting that the films shown there can be and are purchased for distribution by

Anyone selling political ads is selling the ability to influence elections. Why else would a campaign buy any?
