Defi does bring more value to Bitcoin since BTC can be put to use in defi protocols. Bitcoin is mainly rising for the first reason though, the growth in defi isn't the main driver.

I'm late to this thread, but this is incorrect. Flash loans are used for many things other than arbitrage/attacks. 2 examples include the ability to swap collateral/debt and the ability to migrate assets between defi protocol

Ethereum hands down. Cardano is a shitcoin. Polkadot can't be compared to the other 2 since it isn't exactly a smart contract platform like Ethereum is, its more of a "blockchain of blockchains". Think of it like a platf

Also Chainlink isn't in the smart contract space, its in the decentralised oracle space. Polkadot is more of a "blockchain of blockchains" rather than an Ethereum competitor. Cardano is a smart contract platform like Ethereum
