People have mentioned in this thread why an FB account might be worth having. There's also business reasons. Maybe an alternative would be to setup a dedicated device with no video or audio for all your dealings with evil empires.

You're also constraining yourself to updated from people who use FB. What about the rest of those people? If you want to get updates (and update) multiple people, why not create an email list and blast all your friends and family? Or m

I see they mentioned Azure Dev Ops. Has anyone tried it? I found it to be unusable. It's way slow. I couldn't imagine having to do any sort of admin in there.

I agree that Twitter may not be much different from Google if you are relying on the algo. Notice that I mentioned Twitter as a community next to Reddit though. Everyone has different usage patterns for these services. I follow (and have be

Good question. I'm going to run an experiment. First "go-to" for search will be my browser history. As long as the site I know I'm looking for is in my browser history, then I'll go there and use the search feature

I think most people referencing this term aren't really talking about a hedonic treadmill. There's a lot of talk about getting richer and not happier. But the key to me is adaptation. As we move from one situation to another we ad

In a professional setting, you can fall back on the rules of the workplace. My boss might be angry, but I don't need to read that he's angry. I just need to keep doing my job. Or I get fired. I'll survive either way (losing a

I took his comment to mean that players doing the math isn't common. The operators know the odds and they publish those odds. Players often don't care what the odds actually mean (doing the math) and they'll play anyways.

I think these people just didn't read the article. Given the state made money, it knew what the odds were. It seemed the only reason there was an investigation was to see the real world outcome of how the game was setup. What may be mo
