You missed a few steps: brew install rbenv brew install ruby-build Copy the line it gives you to your shell's rc file and source it/open a new term: rbenv install 1.9.3-p125 rbenv global 1.9.3-p125 gem update --system gem

L0pht testified before Congress claiming that they could shut down the Internet globally in 30 minutes back in 1998. If I recall correctly, it was through attacks against BGP/BGMP. I can't find a non-broken source link, though.

You could use a redirection service. If they actually follow the redirects to the final destination, you could simply inspect the User-Agent header and redirect their automatic checker to a different page. If they pretend to be a browser

I'd be worried if Apple didn't remove apps with known exploits. Those apps run on a device that could have a list of your contacts, call history, and other personal data on it. On a handheld gaming system, that stuff doesn't exist.

POST alone isn't sufficient. You need CSRF protection, too (which, in this case, would protect from same-site request forgery).

Picture being excited to watch Return of the Jedi and seeing how the Star Wars saga comes to a conclusion. Instead of the Death Star being destroyed, the Imperial assault on Endor being stopped, Vader's redemption, etc., the story goes off

Frontrunning isn't measured in milliseconds. It's microseconds (and soon nanoseconds).

Frontrunning is definitely shady, but (from what I've read) only a small subset of HFT firms actually have the setup to do it. Those firms have custom FPGAs implementing the minimum amount of the Infiniband spec because anything else is too

I've read some of their analyses before. Most people automatically associate HFT with the Flash Crash and claim it's bad for the market. The HFT algorithms pulling out of the market exacerbated the Flash Crash by drastically reducing liqu

nginx was probably using around 20mb ram, too. 24gb is ridiculously unnecessary, but it was probably the least the author could get with the rest of the specs.

I don't believe that's the reason. It's a relatively new phenomenon. If you region-lock your games, then people in Europe/Asia can't buy the cheaper North American version and play it locally.

Agreed. It probably had more to do with the fact that their store, game details, etc. views were pretty complex. They seem to have solved a lot of that crossplatform pain by implementing most of that stuff using Webkit.

Underrepresentation != racism/sexism/any other -ism The overwhelming majority of carpenters are male. Does this make carpenters' unions sexist? Of course not. I'd hire a talented developer even if they had green or purple skin.
