I can't see the thread either but Voultar is a well known modder and respected member of the retro gaming community. I have no problem believing his claims. And frankly, with the prices charged by limited run games there is no excuse t

I concur, SME on Linux is only usable in full memory encryption mode (ie the kernel doesn't even know about it) on my ryzen laptop as well.

The full context is that they gave them 1 week to migrate before termination. The reason is that namecheap is an American company in name only. The bulk of their staff is in Ukraine, only the well paid execs reside in America. Personally th

LM Studio is a lot more user friendly, probably the easiest UI to use out there. No terminal nonsense, no manual to read. Just double click and chat. It even explains to you what the model names mean (eg diff between Q4_1 Q4_K Q4_K_M... Fo

I don't understand people who chime in just to regurgitate GPT slop that they haven't verified (and sometimes not even read!) I don't it hard to believe that they truly believe they're doing us a favor. Surely they'

Your rant has very little to do with the article, I recommend you read it. Why even mention fossil fuels? Also keep in mind that aggressive shills like yourself often turn people away from the cause you try to promote.

You said the reason you're using open source isn't because you don't want to pay for software. He's saying the reason corporations use open source IS that they don't want to pay for software, as OP said.

Wanting to see celebrities or coworkers debased is common and perhaps authenticity matters there. But it doesn't matter much in regular porn usage. I don't see why it would be different for a pedophile. Everything going in your mi

I think that a network of trust will be established where "real stuff" can be obtained, but I suspect that the average pedophile is like the average man in that authenticity doesn't really matter indeed.

I like how all of you keep demeaning the spammer as being amateur or less than script kiddie. And yet, he bested you, the supposedly experts at web dev and hyperscaling. You create trillions of dollars of value. And yet, your social hot spo

A teenager who just learned to script bested a forum for (and by!) the Silicon Valley elite? Shameful if true. But unsurprising.

Your flow seems to make Alt-tabbing impossible? That's a pretty big part of most programmers' flow! Admittedly on Mac, which you must be using, you can alt tab between apps I think.

What you say about plumbing is likely true for public bathrooms but it doesn't explain why home bidets aren't really a thing either. In a home it's unusual to NOT have hot water near a toilet (be it for a sink or shower).
