I agree that a long term strategy for improving working conditions involves access to quality education but I don't think that pertains to the issue being discussed nor is it very helpful to the people described in the article. The sad fact

I don't agree. First, education levels among Foxconn employees are probably considerably lower than you can imagine. These people just don't fully understand how inhumane their jobs are or the lasting effects of the chemicals they work with

To me Canonical and Apple have always been very different. Canonical has no doubt drawn much inspiration from Apple in their user interface elements but I feel from there the comparison really tapers off. Canonical provides services. Apple

It's interesting to listen to stories like this because they make it truly difficult to access your own feelings. You want to dislike or even hate it but a moment later you realize, in order to do so, you'd have to pass those judgements ont

Yeah sadly it does. And it works on products of all price ranges especially at critical price points, the lowest of which is $.99. But it works just as well at $199 ... or $189. A computer for $999 for some reason seems like a much better d

Every one of those is an abstract component. Making up an abstract system. There are no algorithms, no methods, no inventions. It's a collection of abstract ideas. The purpose of patents is to give incentive for the inventors to publish the

Wait, I thought you couldn't patent abstract ideas. This is a big bummer for more than just the businesses that will be routed around. The patent is essentially on just the thought of delivering a route based on anything other than shortest

Thats a really great question. The main reason is because the other labels would still want to sue. Now why can't they all just buy grooveshark together? Because we have anti-trust laws that prevent them from working together like that.

I agree. All I'm trying to say as that blaming it on the 'Movie Industry' is not being able to see the real problem. Many independent and main stream movie industry workers don't support SOPA and don't feel the MPAA acts in their favor. We
