Please quote your sources regarding monkey and ape intelligence with regards dead ends (whatever that means), wet blanket. Please also note you are just a wet blanket and not the wet blanket - that epithet is not normally sought after.

I live a bit north of Whistler. BC is rather larger than the UK but it is very roughly the same in north/south extent. Yeovil (Somerset) is about the same lat as Calgary, next door to you. Unfortunately we live on an oblate spheroid

Surely your laptop has a mic on it and probably a camera. It also has blueteeth, wifi and stuff. Your phone has much the same and can act as a proxy to whatever is missing on your laptop and vice versa. Obviously, getting your laptop to

OK so Action. I may have got the steps wrong but I do recall that the Action icon was again to the left of the Print text that performed the actual print. Again, why does the UI switch from icons to text arbitrarily? If Action is Action th

Don't be daft. gopher and wais are just protocols and via telnet you got a menuing system in what we call a TUI nowadays. I'm not sure which part of the chicken you are trying to push the eggs back into but please don't.

Craig Charles nicked my lighter in Oscar's nightclub in Plymouth in roughly 1991. I wouldn't have minded but it was my Dad's Zippo (RAOC, 7th/11th Armoured Brigade). He asked for a light, wandered off with it and then

I found it via gopher and wais - I can't remember which one did what, it was a fair few years ago. I telnetted from my PC to a VAX, then to a X.25 PAD, then onto a Janet system, then to somewhere in the US and then to CERN. Eventually

We have a single kdbx with nearly 7000 entries. It is about 45MB at the moment with very few text docs in it. It once got to over 100MB when I found people using it as a doc store but it had a bit of a clear out a few years back.
