Well, Berlin is rare in that it's been a big city before, multiple times. It's got quite a bit of growing room before it has to answer hard questions. And there are a number of serious residents, not in the young, tech scene, who

There are a number of mods which add much finer control over fuel management and better aerodynamics to KSP. Ferram Aerospace[1] adds much more realistic aerodynamics and TAC fuel balancer[2] adds a fuel balancer. [1] http://foru

One of the reasons Mountain view is a good test bed is the comparative absence of weather. The LIDAR system the car relies on doesn't work in rain, snow, or fog. Also, it would have a lot of trouble with the massive changes to roads an

As a chromebook user (with 2gb of ram) Adblock plus is routinely the chief culprit for slow downs. I've found it using 400mb of ram with sites like youtube and facebook open.

Many of the sites with the most pernicious ads require JS to function, so NoScript isn't really that effective if you're going to, say, stream the latest episode of Game of Thrones.

It really depends on the application and area of study. There is no "one best" language for all of scientific computing. For some things R is the best, for others SPSS, and for some matlab. The larger the datasets and the more com

LXDE uses openbox as its window manager. So it's openbox with a more robust ecosystem build around it.

Modern features tend to mean fancy-3d-compositing-features which are not lightweight. I do think the default LXDE theme looks rather windows 2000/Gnome 2.6. However, changing the theme is not hard and LXDE can use any XFCE themes. Hope

This would be wonderful, especially for people learning JavaScript. When and how to use call backs and wrangling asynchronous code propagation is a major frustration coming to JavaScript from languages that default to synchronous behavior.
