It's a little late in the game to get this seen, but they do this in the NYC subways too. It made for a great video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9jIsxQNz0M

Do they have another agreement with Microsoft which establishes a better price for Windows if Microsoft gets to be the OS gatekeeper (as seems to be the case)?

I had the same problem with a WD home server. I returned it when it wouldn't do what it was supposed to do. Later, I started receiving emails from the server as it kept me up-to-date on its status.

I found it very interesting too. I am very familiar with this classic movie. Nearly everyone in this film went on to have a substantial career. Your method gives the essence of the story, but robs us of the beauty of this movie. You'

Exactly, BWStearns. That the ARS writer doesn't understand this makes me question whether this wall's in place there?

Maybe as interesting is where this satellite is: The Lagrange L1 point. The 5 Lagrange points in essence allow orbiting bodies to break Kepler's laws. A satellite a million miles closer to the Sun shouldn't have the same orbita

I did something remarkably stupid in the past. It's got to be disclosed first thing, right away. The past is now forever.

The two Voyagers are often seen downloading data through NASA's Deep Space Network. Here's a real time DSN status page: http://eyes.nasa.gov/dsn/dsn.html

I know it's supposedly new thinking, but I used this trick often in 1970-71. Flying to West Palm Beach from LaGuardia was more expensive than just getting off a flight that stopped at PBI while continuing to Miami. Thank you Eastern Ai

This seems like a 'one off' deal. Tesla can come in, zero emissions exception, but conventional competition against the franchised dealer model is still prohibited. This is solely because of embarrassment, but it doesn't ri

Regardless of your opinion of Snowden, the 4th Amendment has been trampled. Its words and simple and clear: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizure

I am 63. I code sites. I build boxes. I touched my first computer terminal at the NY World's Fair in '64. Fortran on an IBM senior year in high school 67/68. That was my first and last computer class. I was on the Intern

I took a Fortran (not recognized by Chrome's spellcheck) class in my senior year of high school - 67/68. I really learned with the book Basic Basic in the late 70s.

If I may, this video would be three times as good if it was half as long. You're going to lose people before you introduce what you're really selling. The animation is great. Too long isn't a reflection of that.

Alas, deleting it probably means you are the only one not having access to the data! This is the kind of stuff NSA keeps. Surely your telco also keeps it. It's probable some ad networks also know where you were. Like you, I agree it

The color scale is reduced, but that seems to be ground clutter caused by a temperature inversion. It forms after dark and usually breaks up after a few hours of daylight. I am a meteorologist and have used radar for nearly thirty years.

A week's on-scene coverage cost more to mount than the usual news from the studio. Beyond that, live coverage 'bumped' many commercial avails. This was an expensive week, not a profit center.
