I use the Microsoft Stack (ASP.NET MVC5, C#, SqlServer, run in Azure) for JobRudder [1]. I wanted to pick something boring (and extremely stable) for my tech stack. Building a company is hard enough without wrangling with new frameworks

I don't think version control is the issue here. I think the real issue is that we keep trying to manage the resume as if it's the source of truth. We need a source of truth for our careers. And from that source of truth we should

I don't lie. I make sure my resume speaks the lingo though. W What's the lingo? At the highest level, it's corporate speak. Slightly below that it's industry specific terminology, below that it's position specific c

Dell XPS 15. - Build quality is excellent - The form factor is terrific (physical size of a 14-incher) - You can get it with the latest desktop i7s and a boatload of RAM - Good battery life (skip the 4k screen)

This. Too many designers/sites equate tiny, close spaced text with modernity/sleekness. Don't make me squint.

A few .NET wrappers exist...but it's always felt heavyweight for me (my use case is pretty rare). I am hoping this makes it trivially easy. We'll see how it goes.

I've always wanted to use Tesseract on .NET projects but it was always clumsy (wrappers). This looks like it'll make things easier. Thanks for putting this out.

This is why the resume endures despite it's many flaws (talked about this in some other comments). There needs to be a summarized, editorialized version of your "history" and that's what the resume does in a (semi) stand

I'm always excited when alternatives to the resume work. Glad it did for you. Did you happen to post about this anywhere (on a blog maybe?). I'd love to see the narrative version and hopefully learn a thing or two.

It's not the new resume by a long shot. But it does point to some large flaws resumes have. Resumes in their current form don't work well as a source of truth about anyone's career. The main issue being that we put summarized

I agree. I really like the move towards a better source of truth for our careers but I think it should be private. Let me customize it easily (e.g. for a role or job) and present that customized view to different audiences.

Yes, I think you should be direct. Some more things to keep in mind: - Make sure you gather proof of how you've grown and all your accomplishments. Don't expect your manager or HR to know or keep track of this for you. Even better

That is a bummer. I also have RP but I'm only down to about 10% of night vision (i remember being able to see much better at night). How's your day vision? Much luck (and peace) to you.

Do you have RP or something similar? What else is on your bucket list? Apologies if the questions are too personal, I find what we miss when we lose sight very interesting. Hope you get to see them again.

It's a bummer you couldn't comment further, this thread is going to look a little out of order. But let's get real here. This isn't about male victimization. This is about the inability of a privileged class to see it&#x
