I was meaning that annexation of Crimea might have made countries want to be less reliant on Russia as a partner, outside of US-Russia relations. I agree it is up to European countries to do what they want.

UK is currently building new nuclear. Can’t think of anywhere else. For me people seem to have an either or opinion - we should build renewables or nuclear or whatever (I don’t think this is your stance though). Reality is that we should be

I think the annexation of Crimea certainly increased tension between Europe and Russia. I’m not sure how it effected energy policy however.

The politics around nuclear is a real hurdle (rightly or wrongly) so it makes sense to look at other solutions. Lots of energy in Europe is supplied from countries you may not want to be reliant on (Russian gas for example).

I think that’s the point? They want to show that M1 decimates comparable Intel chips even at lower price points. This release is entirely within Apples control, why would they risk damaging their brand releasing a chip with lower performanc

I guess what we are looking at is how good is someone relative to their peers, was Fangio a better driver compared to his peers than Lewis is now, likely, was he a better driver, we’ll never know as the two never competed.

Can’t really comment on anything above the waterline but below typically they become more attractive to marine life, basically things grow on them... if this is good or bad depends on who you talk to (eg should barren places remain barren,

The size is unbelievable to be honest. The 12MW system when constructed will be taller than the Eiffel Tower I believe, and that is the section above water, there will be 20-50m in water then considerable length piled into the ground.

Your info on capacity is a bit sketchy, the capacity of turbines being installed now is 8-10MW, with 15MW turbines on the roadmap. 3.6MW turbines were being installed 7-10yrs ago (exception being Rampion on south coast of UK being installed

It really isn’t my area of expertise... all I see is that the investment firms that backed early offshore wind farms are now backing these Power to X technologies, as well as ‘energy islands’ which connect multiple offshore wind farms to mu

I work in renewables, the latest big buzz word is Power-to-X, meaning using renewable to generate hydrogen based fuels for things like jet engines and ships. I think it is 10-20 years away from becoming commercialised. Danish companies seem
