I would have agreed in past, but the new random "blog" at whatever.etc being written by LLMs is making me skip clicking most links here now.

Best of luck, I guess I've personally had little success at companies with "I have an idea" types in leadership.

> I’ve basically stopped hiring devs for my company So you were just hiring devs to tell them what to do? I honestly like having the self organizing and problem solving that comes from hiring good people, and that I could trust people wi

A good point made in the post (that's not really specific to CF) is the problem with multiplying features. It's interesting that most of the extremely-hot-on-AI companies and leaders I know are hyped about 100x product dev, etc a

Honestly, the last thing companies need is more implementers. We had this before with UX prototypers. Focus on the what, not the how. I'm seriously worried that my and other companies in my network have product leadership that are

While I'm not glossing over real problems we have today (I'm also Gen-X), the 90s were not that great, you were just young and unencumbered. Healthcare was cheaper and more friendly, but not better for serious issues. There was

Which is cool, but also likely an outlier due to Christopher Nolan's usage of practical effects vs CGI. His clout probably helped with the funding of that tbh.

I think in both cases, the LLM use needs to be handled by someone experienced with the domain. We are seeing this over and over with product development, writing, images, etc. Without good people driving this it's just noise

I don't see how the alternatives ends any differently? We manufacture in China, they copy the products with lower margins then western companies can't compete on price.

They reduced the radius back to older, smaller size and now all apps use a single radius, vs the weird 3 different radii in Tahoe. Looks better.
