GPU parallelism is very different from main-core parallelism. The GPU is an entirely different architecture than the CPU. The stuff that's still on the CPU are things that don't trivially parallelize to begin with.

Uncharacteristically for NVIDIA, it maintains the 8INT mode, so pretty damn well...

No, it still requires you to create additional passwords for Pocket.

It was stated several times that Mozilla didn't get any money from Pocket for the integration.

It has a huge user-base, so we can disagree on crappy. And obviously the latter part is fixable. Pocket was originally a Firefox add-on.

It's more likely to get fully open sourced, I bet, which would make that rather hard?

You can have hope for a better integration than that odd toolbar button and the silly login page that asks you to make Yet Another Password instead of using the Sync/Mozilla account one.

That is a weird restriction given that I can buy from the Play Store, etc. But thanks for your response. Back to AWS it is.

Whenever I want to try GCP, during signup I get stuck at "Account type Business" and the need to enter a VAT number. It hints there's Individual Accounts, but I see no way how to set it to that?

Peer review does not imply reproducibility, and it's the latter that is the problem. I can confirm, as a reviewer, that your methodology and analysis looks sensible, but the flaws may be deeper, and the fact that you didn't publis

The problem is that many branches of science don't have any immediate pressure to produce something that is usable by people outside the field, and sometimes not even peers. So they do what is needed to get out papers, and bothering ab

It gets even worse as if you produce a follow-up paper for an improvement, you're generally expected to produce something better. If the original result doesn't hold up, the only alternative is more even fraud, I mean, data massag

Say you want to replicate this in 1 month, you need 1320 GPUs for a month. They didn't specify which ones, but say at 1000 bucks per GPU, that's a 1.3M USD investment. And some pocket change for power etc. There isn't anythin

OpenBLAS performance is atrocious in 32 bit mode because it doesn't properly support AVX with the halved register file. Not the most common configuration, but MKL handles it fine (on Intel chips, obviously). That said I agree it makes

Ah, but what should they benchmark GEMM with? MKL? I don't think so, it takes the worst codepath if the chip isn't GenuineIntel. OpenBLAS? Doesn't have Ryzen support. Doesn't even recognize some AMD cores. ACML? Wasn

It's not so much reduced math performance (it's twice faster than Bulldozer!), it's that Intel chips as of Haswell have dual 256-bit FPUs per core. If you use them, the Intel chips downclock (sometimes severely) in order no
