It would be good if the home page clarified what "send it" offers without having to go through the process to find out. e.g. do/can you print/mail a physical letter? Do you offer (non-legal) advice on the best path forwa

Shoutout for Mister Donut in Thailand! Lived there two years and ate Mister Donut often -- I had no idea it started in the US.

True, but I'm thinking more from a UI standpoint -- how would you present that complexity to the user, and how would you help them pare it down?

That's exactly why I included that disclaimer from the original. A dishonest person would have trimmed it.

   This does a clever job of dealing with the multiple varied inputs to a scenario. A real budgeting scenario might have 2 * 3 * 7 * 4 * 5 * 3 * 9 * 2 * 5 = 226,800 possible outcomes, so the obvious question is what UI do you use to consider&#

Does anyone here have a sense of what time frame the video covers? Like, is that real-time and mitochondria are continuously mildly active? Is it vastly slowed down and mitochondria are ripping around in our cells like madmen? Is it vastly

I've lived in Los Angeles, Seattle, D.C., New York, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Boston. I've spent time in Phoenix, San Francisco, Kansas City, Chicago, Miami, Portland, Atlanta, and Orlando. None of them come close to what you see

St. Louis is similar: you can walk from downtown to empty grass-filled blocks in about fifteen minutes. My favorite story is the origin of the City Museum (which, shoutout to the City Museum, it's awesome). The City Museum building is

Those who would condemn "science" need to explain why their concept is different from listening to the weather report and doing the exact opposite -- that's not a recipe for success, and "science" has gotten far mor

Everyone arguing for LLMs as a corrupting crutch needs to explain why this time is different: why the grammar-checkers-are-crutches, don't-use-wikipedia, spell-check-is-a-crutch, etc. etc. people were all wrong, but this time the t

Thanks, honestly I agree in this case, but I decided before even trying the experiment to post Claude's output no matter what. I (not humbly) think I'm pretty good at succinct statements like in this case. Anything more than about

I'm 100% certain Chiang is wrong about art. I'm a product manager, not an artist, but I write many things as part of my job, and Claude in particular is a better writer than I am. Here's how Claude rewrote that, you can argue

It's sooo easy to blow it when illustrating super intelligence. Interestingly, I thought Phenomenon with John Travolta did a pretty reasonable job -- when they asked him to name as many animals as he could in a minute, and he was bored

Interestingly the movie Companion, out this weekend, illustrates this case exactly. It's a thriller, not a philosophical treatise, so don't expect it to go deep into the subject, but the question of what "pain" means to

I'll take this as my chance to recommend Ted Chiang -- he is among the very best short story writers working in science fiction (I say confidently, not having done an extensive survey...). His works are remarkably clever, from Understa
