Minor pedantry note: I think you mean OTP ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Telecom_Platform ), rather than OLTP ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OLTP ).

I'm a Stanford fan, so here's a (nit-picky?) deconstruction of http://cardinalupdate.com/stanford-basketball/game-recap/sta... - the recap of the team's first game. "Stanford has already started living up to monumental expectations with a

Minor refactoring note, since F# seems to bring that out in me: you could change the last bit to "List.reduce (+)". Or you could do the whole thing as "[0..10] |> List.sumBy (fun x -> x*x)"

I recently completed a project using FParsec ( http://bitbucket.org/fparsec/main ), which is a parser combinator ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parser_combinator ) library based on Haskell's Parsec ( http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Parse

I didn't see a Visual F# Express there - does Visual C# Express include IntelliSense for F#?

http://fsharp.net is the new official site post-graduation from MS Research, I believe. For a nice introduction to the language, the Wikibook at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/F_Sharp_Programming is quite good.

It's almost certainly location based - the first result I see for "b" is "bart", which I imagine only applies if you live in the Bay Area (for those unfamiliar: http://www.bart.gov/ )

Are "Rails fanboys" really complaining about lack of IDE support? I was under the impression that IDEs weren't especially popular among Rails programmers (as compared to Vim and TextMate).

I believe you can work around this in IE by using document.createElement() in the head for any custom tag you want to use - see http://html5doctor.com/how-to-get-html5-working-in-ie-and-fi... .

Actually, it looks like "I have read and agree to the" is a label, and "Terms and Conditions" is a hyperlink, although (at least in my browser) there's no visual distinction there. I'd recommend making that difference clearer.

I hadn't looked at Yard in a while, actually, but http://yardoc.org/docs/ruby-core is a pretty compelling example of some nice output, especially given that it's generated from the C code.

The important word in that sentence is "directly". There are plenty of ways to do I/O in node, but they generally involve event-based callbacks so that they don't block the thread.

If you have the spare RAM, I'd say a VM is the way to go. I've tried the dual-boot approach, and found that the annoyance of having to reboot to switch between environments was high enough that it usually deterred me from doing it at all.
