Do you think that Chinese are that stupid? They all know their wealthy elite send kids and wife to the US, why would they do that if China was better?

I don't think so. China has so many problems, it's government always preferred the status quo, anything new like this is considered a threat to political stability: imagine if a few Chinese decided to go Snowden way?

Well, I'm not agreeing with you and other yellow peril things at all. Was just trying to show you that since the dawn of time the "other" has been considered dangerous, evil, etc. by many people. And you reflect very well th

I second this, writing good documentation is harder than writing code. I can do both with music I already know, however, but I will sometime go for a walk or a cigarette, both help a lot.

About these supplementary pills I think the advice of Taleb is very good: - When there is a very strong reason to medicate or do surgery, do it immediately. - When it is just for convenience, don't do it. The long term risks are unknow

Why, I don't mind your kid or any other using pacifier. I mind a bit the "pacifier by default" implied by its presence in the US baby box. Also, if you can get a kid to control emotions early, it is all the better, and pacifier may postpone

It's inconvenient and better avoided. Toddlers cry, that's the normal thing. Some are unbearable and then a pacifier is ok but they become addicted and you're easily in deep shit if you travel and forget them or lose them (I had one in each
