Apparently they use AI to read emails. So the future of email will be like phone support now, where you keep writing LIVE AGENT until you get a human responding.

Yeah, emotions are how we perceive our organism (body as a whole) going into action to deal with something. They are the idiot lights on a car dash. You can put tape over them or say you ignore them, but the underlying process is still occu

My theory is that all our modern junk doesn't necessarily cause depression, but it allows us to take on more chronic depression and other mental problems (distraction, dopamine hits, etc.) Like the way added safety features to cars jus

The community guidelines rejection is such BS. I've done thousands of Amazon reviews and get about 1% rejection rate, and it's always baffling as to the cause. You develop superstition over time over what is the cause. I avoid cer

You're supposed to report review manipulation offers to Amazon. Reviews are for the product itself, not the seller (in theory multiple sellers can offer the same product, but for alphabet soup brands that's never the case).

It sounds like they basically find part of a pseudo-random sequence that is closest to the desired data, then store the random seed and corrections (which are small so take less space).

QuickDraw's regions always impressed me. They could cover an arbitrary area, and most operations could be masked to a region. This was important for updating a window behind another efficiently, just mask to the visible portion and dra

I don't buy anything with HFCS at US supermarkets. I get all sorts of prepared foods: bread, yogurt, crackers, sweets, cereals (and a lot of more basic things to make meals with).
