I concur. Refind is pretty much universal for me: it detects Linux kernels automatically, windows, boots from USB or detect USB (I always have an emergency copy that will boot my systems if I screw up), it also runs on Intel macs... Also...

"government printing money IS inflation" is not true. Government printing money is one way of possibly generating inflation. There are other ways: scarcity of goods and services through the lack of productivity is another example.

Interesting usually junior or medior people have such a strong negative opinion about tools but you touched Delphi so I must guess you have at least a couple decades of experience? Tools and languages have tradeoffs and it is always more co

The thing is.... You found a solution and if you wanted to understand you can always look at the kernel doc. When a similar thing happens in Windows, you are just done... Not only you have a very slim chance of not having to reinstall every

AFAIK the weak memory model is interesting when you start to scale multicore. It is up to the programmer to sync correctly accesses so when it is not necessary all the units accessing the memory can operate more independently.

So clearly this is again an airline using a rule as a "proxy" for something else they want. Like no chewing tobacco... Yeah it is gross but it is probably not a safety issue.

TBH This response is way too aggressive for the original comment. The facts stated are simply that today it is more efficient to encode video for remote graphical sessions because the X11 applications already changed a long long time ago to

Same reasoning for me. I preferred to order everything from them. I had a very weird screen/UEFI issue and their support has been amazing. This is business done right at so many levels they totally deserve a markup.

I agree... The compiler can make a lot of assumptions on such a simple operation, you have to look at the assembly. In other more complex cast cases it might be slower so I would not assume anything.

So I recruit ... A lot. If a candidate just ask canned questions or kind of not super relevant questions like this I might spot that as a red flag. Also those questions are very developer centric, not company centric Ie. Is this environment

I started to explore the area, mostly arm based (rp2040 and STM) and a little bit of ESP32. Tool chain wise: ESP32 support is very recent and still based on the C tool chain and this makes it very fragile (you can break your environment eas

I am not sure why this is an issue. For example my framework laptop USB C ports are replaceable (for the laptop side). Also you can buy magsafe like connectors for USB C if you have a regular laptop. Having one USB C charger for my phone, m

Small tip: put a working example when you advertise such an API with a screenshot as a bonus. As a developer I want to see if the bindings feel natural and maybe try it right away. Here both the article and the GitHub readme lack this.
