The only problem with them is that they don’t work well with lambdas (and related features like Stream). If you need to call a method that throws a checked exception inside of a Stream, there’s no good way to pass it up other than re-throwi

For what it’s worth, I’ve been using IntelliJ for about a decade now, and I thought the UI change was great. Obviously not for everyone, but I’m more productive now thanks to it. I don’t like their recent AI features, in large part because

I don’t know the story, but I’m not surprised. I led an effort to switch my company to Auth0 recently and they’re… bad. They have very poor support for anything even barely outside of normal, and when things are working correctly they not v

I’d noticed recently that my Macbook was consistently being warm even when I hadn’t used it in hours and it was closed and unplugged. I wound up doing a clean up of a bunch of processes that might be running in the backend, and it was resol

Notably, Ramsay is mostly doing that as an act, so it’s really just the same thing as House. If you watch his UK shows, or see some of the other stuff he’s put out, he doesn’t bother with that whole antisocial performance.

The difference is that at a restaurant you’re paying for it. If you show up at a soup kitchen and complain that it wasn’t seasoned just right, that’s fully on you.

I’d used it some and liked it, though I hadn’t used it extensively. At the very least, some of the parts that had already come out of it to the main site (like the interactive radar) were very useful and good upgrades.

Solar energy isn’t that much more efficient in Earth orbit than on Earth - maybe twice as efficient. That sounds nice, but you’re saving half of your solar panel cost while massively increasing every other cost.
