Careful now. Don't want to upset the future generation of unemployed prompt engineers.

Nailed it. You don’t even have to buy new stuff now. Still rocking my early 90s system. Has required a couple of amp repairs (capacitors and sticky relay) but no big issue. Bought a Bluetooth DAC for streaming stuff. Job done.

Worse. Much worse. Healthcare and social care will be involved almost immediately and forced to suck up all the bad ideas and inappropriate uses to keep interest up. People who raise rational objections will be silenced.

I await JobCentre being filled up with prompt engineers in about 2 years.

The funeral director at my father’s funeral used comic sans for everything. A flop no but used hilariously for a things it shouldn’t be. One of the most divisive typefaces ever. I like it.

Yep. As far as I understand, all OLED screens are on a flexible substrate (polyamide) but it's bonded to the glass because it wears out.

I don't want to be promoted! At some point you get to the state where you can't perform a work function. We lost more people above me than along side me.

Yeah that's going to end up warped and break 10x easier than anything else. Concept is cool but simple, robust, reliable is needed for portable devices. I refer to my colleague with the foldable that got broken no less than 3 times bef

You probably have a shitty soldering iron which can’t deliver heat consistently. Try grabbing a used Metcal PS900 or MX500 on eBay. I have done zero maintenance or tinning on either of mine. They just work. I do SMD and TH stuff and rework

Yeah if you don't toe the line of the more senior people in the speciality, next thing you know you're outcast from your institution and no one will talk to you. This is why I do mathematics. Most of it is impossible to argue agai

I agree that you'd probably see crashes but it still could be power supply related. Crappy SMPS designs do tend to shovel some noise from the primary into the secondary side as well as adding their own. And there's a lot of noise

Yep. A friend of mine was dating one a while back. We went on a double date and had to stop 22 times on the South Bank in London so she could do fish face and get a good picture for Instagram. Not talking about an iPhone here either. A Sony

I haven’t heard anyone utter anything but disgust at accidentally using bing. They know . The fact windows is full of dark patterns to try and get you to use it is pathetic disrespectful hubris not genius.

Inclined to agree with this. It didn't fall, just sort of withered into other cultural ideologies and empires. Some of it was also fucking bananas which didn't survive enlightenment.

Oh it's really easy to extrapolate stuff. But perhaps they shouldn't. A lot of papers I've seen recently have wild romantic extrapolations based on cherry picked correlations. Some of the social sciences are terrible at this.

Different take: AI writes a lot of mediocre code for us so we don't have to and we're impressed at that. But that's not the problem we need to solve. All our programming languages are verbose and stupid. It takes too much eff

An external perspective here: I think at best it’s going to be a drunken brawl and infighting resulting in a lot of ass kissing and popularity politics. I don’t think you’re going to get fascism because that relies on some level of competen
