I'm curious about how would you sandbox the code that users write so that it won't affect the system? Would love to see an open source implementation!

Great job. Having done something similar for a prototype (using JS to control Flash players), I must say that it takes a great deal of work to get it all nicely. I'm assuming that you're using ExternalInterface to communicate with the playe

I'm looking for someone non-technical to work with since I'm more on the tech side. I have some ideas about real-estate based software, time management software, event planning software but haven't really dug into it as yet. I do have a rou

While I don't necessarily meditate per se, I do chant everyday. I follow a sect of Buddhism known as Nichiren Buddhism. Basically, the chanting helps to elevate our life conditions so that we're able to face any challenges in our daily live

I've seen similar results. It's nice to see it everything do it on the fly but I'm guessing doing all these optimizations on a large website will take up more processor cycles?

True that. But it's just a wish from my perspective since I'm running on a VPS with limited memory so I can't really afford to have both running.

Would love something like this for nginx - Apache's just using too much memory.

Great thought question. Being a junior developer, I haven't the slightest clue on how to answer it. Having been exposed to merely algorithms in school, would it be safe to assume that this wasn't really targeted at software engineers but mo

Agreed. Having experience with frameworks and languages will give you a headstart in being able to produce something quickly and might even provide some insight on the pros and cons of the said framework or language.

I've experienced this before and let me just say that it was hell to debug! TribalFusion seems to have done the same - using document.write() and document.writeline().

One of the things that's posed this question is whether users would sign up for a web service, then head to Paypal only to find that they are being billed under my name instead of a company's name. Perhaps I am being extremely confused over

Sounds like a good plan - how do you manage all the finances and so on? I'm guessing that all income earnt through sole prop gets added on to your existing income? Thanks!

I'm actually in Ontario so your advice would be great! If I go for sole prop., does this mean that when users sign up for my web service, they checkout through Paypal and it will show my name or can I have a business name show up instead?

One thing that I found useful was poking my head around Erlang and RabbitMQ. It's a messaging system based on Erlang. You could also check out PubSubHubbub for push notifications which is probably similar to what you're looking for. As some

As someone who just very recently began to use Django extensively, it seems like the issues mention do carry some weight. While Pinax is a great help in avoiding to reinvent the wheel, I have had to copy the app out of the package into my o

Also, the bummer is that I need to create an account and login before I can do anything. I'd love to be able to see it in action so I can get some sense of what the product is.

Good job with the site. The question I'm trying to answer is why would I use this site? Like what's the purpose of the site? I rate stuff so the app knows what I like and makes recommendations based on it. That's just about what I got. Corr
