Please let me hide the 'Home' and Spaces sidebar in web Element. I have no interest for it and it's an egregious waste of space.

I'm a fan of Matrix but am inclined to agree. In 2018 I looked at the Riot (Element) codebase with a hope to contribute to improving the client. In my estimation, the interfaces and data structures were bonkers convoluted and the maint

There are colloquialisms that err on factual basis (i.e. Third World). That doesn't mean it's fine for news headlines to use them over more accurate descriptions. You wouldn't excuse this from a health care provider.

For me video calls add negative value even in this situation. I have a hard time accommodating the compromise in fidelity and latency and resent the miracle. I'd rather use textual mediums and wait (even a long time) to get the full ex

I'm of the opposite mindset. I don't want any text correction to apply any form of capitalization because it indicates to the reader that I am on a mobile device. I type all in lower case on desktop and I want to be able to do the

Chromecast doesn't have a power sleep mode right? I e always wondered why especially since it can CEC power on when asked to. Maybe there's a device that I can use to proxy between Chromecast and TV to do this?

Powerful prose. And my reading of you is that we are getting what we want, for a certain base level of we. And because we prioritize for the base, the outsider passions are increasingly estranged and neglected.

The rest of the letter reads well to me. He should have avoided that phrase given how pilloried it's been recently, with reason. But that doesn't take away from the generous actions he's fought for for the departed.

The majority of student loans are structured such that the US government makes whole any lender who has a student loan in default. It's argued by some that this incentivizes colleges to relentlessly raise tuition. They win either way.

Thanks for sharing this. I went through a similar arc, substituting Assembly with late 90's html/js/css. I initially enjoyed it but ultimately found it all a pretty shallow pool. Lacking the sublime. So in college I cold-shou

Your response made me think of a fundamental bugbear I have with English, and maybe other languages: the word 'is' has a tendency to imply exclusivity unless coddled by further explanation. If someone says something is a tool, tha

You have some good news because recent longitudinal studies show a 90 percent reduction in cancer risk if you stop at 50. 80 percent if 50. If you're older than that, your body can't keep up the same.
