Is there an official source about this? I thought it sounds like "fur" with an L. Or FLIR is an abbreviation of something and it should be pronounced as individual letters. By the way, English is a bad language to write pronuncia

Sounds like it's a bad idea to have our names on a patent from the way you said it. Can you enlighten us on that?

We planned to build a volumetric display with a LED panel sweeping a cylindrical volume a while ago. In the end it was dropped because we underestimated how much pixels we need to push to that display. Even with the 1920Hz refresh rate of a

A friend of mine tried the Looking Galss. It looks 3D but the resolution is really bad, like 320x240. The display uses a dot lenticular film in front of a normal LCD display. The thick plastic and the lit up bezel is for giving 3D clues to

I am not sure what do you mean by spying. How does "create a fake device with telegram" work? It seems hard to add a rogue device to an existing user's account without them knowing. The 5-digit login code is sent by SMS only

That might be happening now already. I think Google sourced their dataset from dashcam videos uploaded to YouTubr?

It's like the media company is taking the driver seat of your mind and decides you need to watch these videos over and over. Where have individualism and creativity gone?.

Oh the ads. I cannot underestimate the annoyance it has caused to viewers. Seeing the numerous memes making fun of those asset flip adware turned "games" makes me die a little inside. Now I actively push my normie friends to insta

This is exactly why I browse entirely within private mode now. I always make sure I am not signed in to my Google account before clicking any YouTube link. I do not need to be constantly reminded of a single weird video I have clicked month

Yes, so often I ask if the seller can provide a "perfect" display, that is, without any artifacts on the display. This adds 100-200 CNY to the price. There's a Chinese panel manufacturer called BOE that makes products competi

Tip: try to find out what panel the monitor you are buying has. Then look the panel up in a database like panelook.com. This way you can get the specifications without any marketing bullshit. It also works the other way round. Find a panel

I think LG makes their own panels but Eizo doesn't? I think it's probably better buying a digital signage display from LG, Samsung or the likes.

I wonder why it is so hard to find a webcam with USB 3.0 interface that can do something better than 1080p 30fps YUV. I understand in video call applications the video stream is compressed to hell anyways, but I am just trying to make my co

I have always been thinking what the role fact-checkers act in our way of consuming information. Every time I see "fact-checkers" exist it is to reiterate the view of the readers, or even worse, to assert bias. It's like crit
