Isn't this giving in and doing exactly what they want, always using unencrypted communications? The question is, how much do you want an unchecked organization with no oversight to know about you? Do you trust the NSA to know everyth

I wonder if the upvote/downvote system should be based on karma, so e.g. a downvote/upvote from someone wouldn't be equal to -1/+1 but to something proportional to their karma. This will be more similar to how peer-revie

I would like to know the exact question they were asked. It's easy to induce people into answering what you want if you use the right wording.

A hierarchical organization that centralizes so much unchecked power as the NSA will attract a good share of sociopaths. Sociopaths seek power over others. Then it's a matter of time until a sociopath manages to climb to the top, and

That's not what this Gallup poll found: http://www.gallup.com/poll/163043/americans-disapprove-gover... 44% say Snowden did the right thing, 42% say it was wrong. 53% disapprove Government surveillance. 59% s

Is this sarcasm? The new rating is probably right. Maybe the timing looks suspicious, but the new rating would have come sooner or later. There's a collusion of US Government and big corporations, but rating agencies have been pissing

Even if I agree in your labeling of HK and Russia, I don't think Snowden had a better choice. Can you suggest something different Snowden could have done?

It isn't clear yet if Snowden has chosen Venezuela. He might be choosing Ecuador.

We don't know yet what his destination is. Some people claim Iceland or Ecuador.

I wish Snowden good luck, but I wouldn't like to be in the same flight with him. I would be that such flight would have a higher risk of "an accident".

Can you elaborate on this or offer a link? I agree that PRISM is worse since they spy on almost all the world Internet traffic and phone calls, but I wouldn't trust Russian Government to only spy with a warrant.

It makes it more expensive to run this Stasi-like surveillance program. You can use your argument to anything. E.g. what is your previous comment accomplishing?
