I'm an American expat in China and I've lived here for several years. I completely agree with the Chinese guy's statement and have thought the same thing myself many times, though I've never heard anyone else openly express it. Living in an

Outbound calls to a Chinese number had a failure rate of about 50% (failed with a couple of different error messages, can't quite remember what exactly they were anymore, although I remember thinking they didn't seem particularly relevant..

I have a gripe against Twilio. Aside from their China service sucking, they keep sending me newsletters or emails that are tailored to look like they're personally written to me. The subject looks like "RE: Twilio's Developer Community" and

I have to say I hate Posterous links for a different reason: they're blocked by the Chinese firewall. This greatly decreases my desire to load them, as I have to switch to my proxied browser and have it load slowly via an international conn

Making money is a game, like baseball. If people can be passionate about the latter, why can't I be passionate about the former?

I don't think this story is off-topic. Most of us are interested in how technology is changing the world around us. That means something on-topic can be about how new technology is affecting medical practice (for example, potential advances
