I believe that Whatsapp and Groupme are the two popular apps in the U.S. I personally use both, but prefer Whatsapp and use Groupme only because my workplace does.

Yes, I completely agree with you that security spending can be trimmed if we make it more efficient. And yes, that money definitely should go to public programs that improve on our well-being (less attacks then!). However, I just want to st

It really was. At least once, known al-Qaeda terrorists did a trial run prior to 9/11. And for a month up to the day before 9/11, Agent Samit was desperately trying to stop Moussaoui by getting a warrant to search his laptop, but

No, probable cause is not the same thing as evidence. His hypothetical is actually how warrants are supposed to work. Law enforcement have probable cause to suspect someone of being guilty. If they can make a strong argument about why the p

The Palmer raids in the early 1900s arrested more than 10,000 people. Of that, 3,500 of them were held indefinitely. Almost all of them were innocent people. In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, 1,200 Muslims were arrested. Some were beate

I used to use Timely and even bought the ad-free unlock, but had to stop using it once I saw that it was triggering hundreds of wakelocks during the day, even when I didn't have any alarms set. Hopefully Google will set that straight.

Well that's silly. "Anandtech does great reviews unless it's favorable to something I'm not, so then those reviews must be biased". Either you trust Anandtech or you don't. And if you do, then you shouldn'

Barrier to using Linux is not lower than Windows. Windows comes installed on almost every PC sold. Linux does not. Therefore more work is required to use Linux. I love Linux, but "if a program works on every single other distro.."

Hm, I just read his review and he mentioned that he turned off all animations. That probably has a lot to do with a phone feeling faster (just did it on my One and it really does feel faster). He also mentions that the 5S still has the best

Honest question, but can you point me to some of the critics that are saying the N5 is smoother and silkier than the iPhone 5S? I haven't seen any yet.

The fingerprint scanner on the Atrix was of the primitive kind, where you have to swipe your thumb and hope it scanned. Half the time it didn't. The reason it took Apple 2 years to implement it was because they waited for a better solu

Your 3GS has nothing to do with the iPhone 5S. iOS 7 was probably designed with the iPhone 5 in mind. The 3GS probably had support hacked together. I think that at this point, you can stop using a 4 year old phone. Or, if you insist on usin

I wish some of these "DJs" at colleges these days understood what distortion is. And what is with the trend where volume has to always be at 100% even when you're playing in a small room? It's nuts out there.
