I think a page from this was submitted to HN before because I remember reading part of it, but thanks, I haven't actually looked at the blog till now and this guy seems very interesting!

That's really interesting to hear. Was that was only the cost of rent or did it include things like toiletries, utilities, etc?

I remember a while back when there was some commotion about Google not necessarily deleting your emails even when you delete them off Gmail. What they did was they kept your email for an amount of time for ad purposes. Just did some researc

The next iPhone is going to be slimmer, lighter, faster, bigger screen, has 4G, runs iOS 6, and will come in capacities of 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb. Oh look, I can be an analyst too. And if some of those features don't make it into the next iPh

The problem Yelp has is that they don't allow unfiltered reviews to be contested. So even if Brader or his customers wanted to contact Yelp and say "Hey, our reviews aren't spam or for gaming the system" and explain what happened, there's n

I only had time to skim the first article (getting late here), but I agree with Buffett's reasoning on the TARP issue. If the banks DID pay back their debt, then why should they be the ones taxed? He's not saying that industries shouldn't b

Did you read his comment? His point was that the OP seems to think we can't indulge ourselves occasionally and must always work towards solving those big problems. We're human. We should allow ourselves to have some fun once in a while.

The N9 isn't being released because Elop wants his WP7 phones to win in America and the N9 would just be some strong competition. Especially since the WP7 phone they have planned looks just like an N9. Here's the line taken from Engadget's

What were the illegitimate reasons? I suppose the one about someone else accidentally taking my homework? I don't think I could have helped that and any reasonable teacher might have given me half credit. I got a bad grade for lots of reaso

I disagreed with the guy I was replying to, but yeah, I do see that what I said wasn't relevant to the OP. Thanks for at least explaining. :)

You know, I'm not against people downvoting me, but I'd like to know why. I'd like people to tell me why they disagree so I can at least learn from my mistakes.

I ended up going to summer school for physics because my teacher "unfairly" gave me an F. She told us at the beginning of the school year that we only had to do 10 of those honor questions (out of 20 possible) every unit and at the end of t

Symbian s60v3 on a Nokia E5 here. I love the keyboard on this thing, but the OS is utter crap. Does anyone else here see huge potential in Meego and the Nokia N9? If only Elop hadn't killed it off in favor of WP7..

The Windows taskbar is one of the biggest reasons why I couldn't live with Windows. I tried (for the sake of my games), I really did. But the grouping behavior just puts me off. I can't live without text so I switched back to the old rectan
