I think you are confusing the benefits of Chromebooks in general with Google's Pixel Chromebooks. Aside from the Pixel line of > $1k Chromebooks are usually $150-$300 with a couple "premium" $500 models. Chromebook'

That's what I'm thinking. I've bought 2 Chromebooks, most recently I bought a 2013 Chromebook Pixel new-in-box in 2017. I don't know where it sat all those years but for $300 it was an amazing deal and I've come to

I've been wanting something like this for Android / ios. I've had the problem that many restaurant rewards program have gone from "10 punches on this card and your next sandwich is free" to "type in your phone

I set up webpack-dev-server for that case. Saving a file refreshes the page in about 1 second (after 30 second initial build on dev-server start). Full build still takes 30, which is tolerable but I can't shake the feeling that there

What is your threshold for too long of a build time? I recently converted a typescript (angular 1.x) project from jspm to webpack. The front end build time went from 3 minutes to 30 seconds, but I don't know if that's still &quo

It does transpiling. You can set the compiler target to es3/es5/es6 in your tsconfig.json and then you don't need Babel.

I don't believe the checkmark indicating "Cloud & Native Print" support on Chrome OS. I've got two Chromebooks and have used Chromeboxes at work and have never gotten printing to work reliably.

Would a passphrase on the SSH key help in this case? Attacker would have the SSH key but need the passphrase to be able to use it. That's how I have my SSH keys.

That's a good idea. Travel time may be an issue (I'm looking to network with developers outside my company). Also I feel that the type of people who won't take a detour on the way home from work will also eat lunch at their

What kind of meetup would you go to? I organize a meetup and I'm always struggling with how to increase attendance of people like me (and you) - not in 20's, have a house/spouse/kids and a commute home to the suburbs. In

I think most people are using the main Typesafe Scala, but people who really want to probe the depths of what Scala can do are using Typelevel's fork. As far as startups they are probably using regular Scala unless they've found

That's what's happened with Scala. Official Typesafe Scala is for enterprises and the fork by Typelevel is for faster development and experimentation, with a goal of contributing the things that work out back to main Scala (if Ty
