I agree with using Jupyter to get a good grasp of everything that’s going on and experimenting. However, while doing so, I think it’s good to keep in mind building something that’s not in a notebook format as I think notebooks tend to foste

For cases like that, copilot (with chat for context) might be more of what you’re looking for. Chatgpt specifically, I’ve been using for very light context / general tasks that I modify. I always consider the trade off between how much

They’re probably not hard and medium problems but if you can take care of these easy and medium problems with chatgpt, that saves so much bandwidth to have time to tackle the fun and “hard” problems. Also, take a look at the problems and pr

Isn’t it her own project? In that case, someone could easily just do their own version. What she built has lasted (so far) and has been helpful to countless academics and students. My question though is how she’s being a selfish crackpot? F

I’ve only taken introductory meteorology courses but I remember ENSO [1] (which uses the term oscillations). Maybe that’s what they’re referring to? [1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Niño–Southern_Oscillation

Isn’t effortful an actual word? Also let’s try not to pick on things that are beside the point. Especially if you look at the author’s site and he’s a non-native speaker. We’d probably make similar mistakes if we were to try Italian. On a t

I’m a moderator of a fairly good sized sub (3M) and bots help flag things early but sometimes it takes nuance to determine if it’s something that needs action, especially if it’s for a very specific community. There are rules that have been
