Did you actually read what I wrote? I do agree I missed writing "classical" OOP in there, but I guess I assume wrong when I think that people can fill in the blanks. Here is the jist of what I mentioned earlier - "Most frameworks provide ab

Regarding AngularJS, please use it only if you are new javascript and prefer learning Angular Javascript (which is not javascript by the way) :) I am not sure you "know" javascript. If you are saying that there is an Angular version

Actually ng-change is very much same as a $watch.. Here is the relevant source from Angular.. var ngChangeDirective = valueFn({ require: 'ngModel', link: function(scope, element, attr, ctrl) { ctrl.$viewChangeListeners.pus

When I went ahead and had a look at one of the examples of hexagonal.js, Misko Hevery's answer in quora http://www.quora.com/Ember-js/Which-one-of-angular-js-and-em... immediately came to my mind. He notes that there are 3 ways to bind da

You are partially right... partially wrong.. You lose control for it only when you use ng-repeat.. you could alternately write your own repeat directive that does animations for adding or removing.. If your are not yet in a state to write

I am going to attempt to answer you : Here are the list of points from the FAQ : The focus is on supplying you with helpful methods to manipulate and query your data, not on HTML widgets ( angular ) or reinventing the JavaScript object mo

How about running it as a plugin or something for a suite of functional specs for the website ( if it has one! ). Functional spec's by definition should run all the paths that a user can take, so it should give a pretty good idea of the cs

Get jashkenas or the people behind Backbone to write a data-binding plugin.. I guess, I will consider BB for data-binding then. I have tried most of the data-binding plugins in backbone.. They all fall short one way or the other. Stickit do

Oh sorry, I was under the assumption that you were using CSS selectors in JS not in CSS.. If its in CSS, then it should be fine. If you are using CSS selectors in JS in an angular app.. then that seems like a smell.

Could you perhaps answer the first part of his question as well? That was probably the main part that you missed out. Isnt mustache doing the same? Why do you really care about the rendered HTML ( after mustache's spits out html ) being cle

Can you please make any other sane argument other than "it clutters my markup"? You are holding the markup to a standard which seems like there is someone out there handing out "The best clean and clutter free markup" award. End of the day

Regarding Angular : You can use the data-ng-* way of adding the ng- attributes. Since data-ng- is HTML5 compliant most major server side templating systems should let it pass through. If you are using custom elements, then you have to figu

You are right about the first situation. Currently doing animations with Angular is not a trivial task. This is mostly because of its "No DOM manipulation in Controllers clause". If you break that clause, having a repeat with animations is

Assuming that all frameworks are leaky and writing from scratch is almost always a waste of time. Even if something is leaky and you spend a week trying to fix it, it will probably still be faster to build using those abstractions than to b

Since GA is non-deterministic, you will never know how long / for how many iterations ( generations) to run the GA for. If one could get a pretty good compression in around 200-500 generations, then perhaps it would be a good solution.
