There's a danger in taking guidelines as dogmas. There's also a danger in dismissing guidelines as dogmas.

This post is a bait for enthusiasts. I like it. > Chain of thought is now a fundamental way to improve LLM output. That kinda proves _that LLMs back then were pretty much stochastic parrots indeed_, and the skeptics were right at the tim

Again, thanks for your feedback. Moving the topological sort not only yileded a better experience but actually simplified the code and thread model. I've made the changes and they'll be on the next version.

Author doesn't consider the possibility that engineers dismiss AI after they constantly tried it. Not once, not twice, but consistently. I am one of those dismissers. I am constantly trash talking AI. Also, I have tried more tools

You are right, that is an overlook on my part. Throwing on the constructor makes much more sense than upon access. Thanks!

That does not work as advertised. If you leave an agent for hours trying to increase coverage by percentage without further guiding instructions you will end up with lots of garbage. In order to achieve this, you need several distinct loops

Ditch the scroll. Pick: all previous "Pick" buttons become "Place". You choose one. Done. Simple, explicit, intuitive.

There's something wrong with this vibe coded stuff, any kind of it. _It limps faster than you can walk_, in simple terms. At each model release, it limps faster, but still can't walk. That is not a good sign. > Do we want this?

The code you pointed to in apywire is related to circular dependencies in constant scalar types. Like a printf that is meant to replace %s with its whole output (therefore, impossible). However, apywire also throws CircularWiringError if yo

Mixed-level pairs (senior/junior), for example, are more about mentoring than reviewing. Those sessions do not qualify for "more than one pair of eyes". Excited (or maybe even stubborn) developers can often win their pairs by

It does not eliminate code reviews. In practice, you should have at least one independent reviewer who did not actively worked on the PR. That reviewer should also download the entire code, run it, make tests fail and so on. In my experienc

Oh, I see. You're reinforcing the "It has to do it right now, not in the future." part of what I said. This simple requirement (it has to enable simplicity right now) is often enough of a reality check on designing abstractio

If there's a leaky, tangled messy piece of incredibly complex software, but it's small and enables lots of other pieces to be simpler, then it's great. That's where typical ideas about complexity fail (selecting scope).

What I truly enjoy is software that has: - One tiny piece of extremely clever abstraction. - A huge amount of simple pieces that would be more complex without that tiny piece. In other words, the clever abstraction can be justified if it en

The agent interfaces are for human interaction. Some tasks can be fully unattended though. For those, I find smaller models more capable due to their speed. Think beyond interfaces. I'm talking about rapid-firing hundreds of small agen

If Opus is one-size-fits-all, then why Claude keeps the other series? (rethorical). Opus and Sonnet are slower than Haiku. For lots of less sophisticated tasks, you benefit from the speed. All vendors do this. You need smaller models that y

I got confused by the "minutes ago" thing. Working with full dates in the HTML and doing a tiny JavaScript that calculates the "minutes ago" would actually be a neat improvement.

Publishing the page is only the last step. It's orchestrating the stuff THEN publishing it. If you think that's easy, do it for me. I have some projects to migrate, give me the link of your service.
