At long last! Now we can start working towards connecting this with databases. I'm specially interested in using this with RethinkDB. How should realtime notifications fit into all this?

Wow, author here. Woke up to a lot of unexpected traffic on the blog. I hope you like this article. I took a long time to understand React and, now I do, I hope other people don't take as long as I did!

I am writing from one right now! It's definitely speedy, but I find the build quality to be rather low and the 13" screen simply cannot accomodate a Full HD resolution. Everything is rather minuscule...

I personally will not buy anything from Apple, but I think it's relevant to the discussion that every vote is cast. It's not a poll for me, it's a discussion for everyone!

I will add something like that myself soon enough. Thanks for pointing it out! I realize, now, that it bothers some people. https://github.com/firstdoit/firstdoit.com/issues/14

This interests me very much. Are there known problems about mapping over objects? What do you mean it has never been 100%? Thanks!

Finally, a respectful and well founded analysis. Thank you for improving the quality of the debate. My 2 cents: I actually prefer the declarative approach. My attempts at imperative view generation resulted in far more shooting-on-the-foot.

YES! Thank you! I think I'll die if I have to read another developer arrogantly defining what should and should not be, and how he, in all his glory, hereafter defines this framework to "NOT BE WORTHY". I can't stand how
