Interesting, though 'moving groundwater' is a much better description than 'river'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-14693637

Just to let you know, if someone complains they can't see the registration box it could be that they have Ghostery blocking everything as that blocks Facebook Connect. That results in no box being shown below the text.

A lot of the time I use a computer outside of work, I am alone in a house into which no one can see or I am alone in a house with my partner with whom I share all of my passwords. As such, I'd rather have the option of unmasking my password

Be Unlimited is a very good ISP (I use it too) but since it is now owned by O2, though it hasn't been merged, I think it's now much more vulnerable to being forced down any route that the more generic O2 broadband takes.

Because it's not true! Or at least not the way it was explained. The reason to change your password is to avoid the vector of attack where someone gets your password and can therefore use it against you. If you change your password each mon

Thanks. I watched the video only after reading your comment. I found something new about fructose so it was worth it. I personally am turned off by his presentation style. He tries to hard to convince me of his conclusion, too rhetorically

Check the Wikipedia article for fructose for a breakdown of how much sugar is Glucose, Fructose and Sucrose in some common fruits. There's not as much fructose as you might have thought. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fructose

This is fairly simply explained: * There is one unit of measurement, SAR * There are two maximum permissible values; one for the US, one for the EU * Apple has chosen the higher of the two so they can make a better phone (more power) * They

I see what you're saying and it's an important point to remember, but rather than one way be wrong, I think it depends on the question. "I need to get from New York to L.A. Which is the safest way to do it?" is about comparing two travel me

Since dB is, by definition, a relative term it's no surprise you were confused since there is not anything for it to relate to. The best I can guess is that they mean to say 80dB(A) which relates the sound to a certain air pressure. The val

This, to me, sounds like a classic case of not knowing what you're protecting against. TOR hides your IP address by preventing the destination server ever needing to do a TCP/IP handshake. There is no way to complete a TCP/IP handshake with

My guess is that it uses some newer APIs which were introduced in 10.6. This may be because they wanted to use Grand Central Dispatch (better multi-core support), a later addition to Core Graphics or simply an API which gave their GUI the m

15 years ago, Danish researchers completed a 13 year study of over 400,000 mobile phone users and found no increased cancer risk. So there has been enough time for that data to start to show itself. http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/9

I have a tendency to agree with you. For viruses, the numbers don't add up. I couldn't find numbers for how many viruses/worms were written last year. In 2004 there were around 28000 written, so let's assume viruses are on the decline and s

The problem with this approach is that each person has their own picture. On a very popular page, this has the tendency to make the page very slow as it loads another 100+ items on the page yet adding nothing to your experience.
