For a new Ubuntu user, that is probably more confusing than not echoing at all. "That way you can be certain..." absolutely not.

My own anecdotal experience is that Copilot doesn't even do a good job as a chatbot. I usually only use it in a few occasions where I don't have access to ChatGPT/Claude. And I could tell that. In one instance where I asked i

Marginally related: I have been an Android user for almost 15 years. A recent incident makes me seriously think about whether I should get an iPhone (other than all the privacy/sideloading/security discussions) I have a Samsung ph

You don't need to update all of them. Nobody is asking you to give up your Gmail. You can start with the 20 sites you use the most frequently which takes an hour. For the rest, either take time to migrate or leave them in Gmail, since

> the 300+ sites I am almost sure that you only use 15 of those sites regularly, 30 of those sites occasionally, and almost never for the other 250. It's doable. If you keep finding excuses, you'll never get it done.

It's possible and I migrated almost all my emails from Outlook and Gmail. That's two services. I still have those accounts and occasionally check for emails from old contacts or service emails, but on a daily basis I don't in

Most companies don't do auto competition these days, including some that just recently stopped offering completion. Which I find very unfortunate. There are so many cases, especially in proprietary codebases with non standard infrastru

You could put it this way, but to me the bigger question is why would a payment processor have such ridiculous requests? That probably should be examined first.

I mean, the device is still being sold and it's not like you are missing out on anything, unless you are one of the 3 people on the planet who actually uses the "Metaverse". Most people use it for games, and it's fine.

Nobody knows what's going to happen. The device and the ecosystem absolutely did not live up to the hype, but Apple is still investing in it, including software updates. Rumors are that they are developing a second gen headset targetin

You might want to check out how their HQ2 in Virginia is doing before commenting on anything about HQ2. Most New Yorkers would tell you NY dodged a bullet by not accepting Amazon's corporate BS. P.S. NYC is far from "the most desi

How can everyone be familiar with everybody else's work? Usually at most 2-3 engineer have enough context to fully understand what your code is doing.

That seems a lot about the company and the culture rather than about how code review is supposed to work. I have been involved in enough code reviews both in a corporate environment and in open source projects to know this is an outlier. Wh

Different people value different things. If I watch a movie by myself, I would choose my $500 27" 4k monitor connected to proper speakers/headphone over a $300 55" TV without external soundbar any day. Most people probably wi
