I'm not convinced true randomness exists. If every attribute of every particle in the universe could be known at a given time, like a snapshot, and we had unlimited resources to simulate the universe as a whole from that point in time,

I think I write decent documentation, but my target audience is usually my future self. If I can rely on my own documentation to help quickly reacquaint myself with the project later on, I generally consider it sufficient.

Are kids these days actually able to grasp things like this? I don't have kids and am never around them, so please take this question as genuine and in good faith.

Thanks for mentioning Difftastic. It looks very interesting! I'll give it a try.

I've never knowingly used a language-aware diff tool before, but I wouldn't mind the option. I think it would come in handy on occasion.

Yes. I can answer questions far more easily than I can coherently give an impromptu explanation of a complex topic on which I am something of an expert. Even if the listener knows little to nothing about the subject, being eager to understa

This is my take. As an autistic individual, I struggle a lot with communication in general, especially speaking in-person as opposed to typing slowly and carefully like I am doing now. No matter how well I understand something, my ability t

I would, personally. I don't think it's asking a lot. The small amount of effort helps not only for those who are new to the concept, but also makes it easier to discover the article via search. > Some abbreviations become so c

I had to Google this as well. Is it asking so much for people to reference the full term for an acronym _just once_ at the top of an article? Even at this moment, with 70+ comments here, not a single person has mentioned what this stands fo

I don't know much about mail servers, but would it be possible to validate the signature somehow before delivering the message? Is this impossible or impractical for some reason?

Before reaching the bottom of the article, I was wondering about 19xx codes, given that I've heard many people using years, or month/day pairings for garage door codes and such. I was glad to see those plotted out. I was also init

I often close tabs by mistake, and there doesn't seem to be a confirmation dialog when closing the tab (or otherwise navigating away from it) while I'm actively working on an unsaved project. Is this something that could be added?
