So you want everyone to be defenseless in the even that a criminal decides to ignore your rules?

>IF the fed is going to do everything in its power to save the economy, why fight it? This is a popular sentiment among traders...why fight the FED? Because there is nothing they can do to bring inflation back to 2%. They all but admitte

It's better to be wrong until you're right than right until you're wrong...because you will get the last laugh. The fundamental problem is that price controls never work and the interest rate is the price of money. If you und

By "banks", I mean 90% of the other banks in the country that would've failed, absent the SVB depositor bailout. If the FED didn't step in, every regional bank in the country would experience a bank run as people would w

Schiff didn't account for the economic ignorance of the masses in his prediction. He understood that runaway inflation would cause the gold price to spike, he didn't foresee the confidence that traders have in the FED to fight off

History never repeats itself, but it does often rhyme. We cannot have a decade of 0% interest rates and expect no consequences. Peter Schiff predicted this from the moment the fed bailouted the banks in 2008. There's nothing the fed ca

Last time I checked, Fastly charges a minimum of $50 so it's not viable when all the other hosts has a free tier and completely free (github and cloudflare).

Thanks for the reply, Issue resolved:) This could be done automatically by pinging the root and searching for a header set by railway's default page. If it doesn't exist then the service is live.

More context: The UI shows that the service is available but when I visit the live url, I get a 404. What I think is happening is that the UI shows the status of the underlying container and there is some fault with the reverse proxy they a

I get up to 20secs of downtime when redeploying on railway... I was using the sample golang repo from fly : https://github.com/fly-apps/go-example That's just unacceptible imo.

Sounds like a good idea but might only be attractive to the technically inclined as the average person doesn't want to deal with rsa keys. They just want to set a master password to access their vault.

Sveltekit + go FTW. I prerender my frontend so it's fast and cheap to host with go deployed on cloudrun.

They need to structure their pricing page better. A quick glance had me thinking that $1200 was the minimum for production use. But the free tier is actually pay as you go.

Having no prior experience with npm/node build system will make learning any framework hard. Sveltekit is the easiest framework to learn so I'd suggest you start from there.

Google would need to make dart outside of flutter more attractive. I think making alternatives to next.js and Django would move the needle quite a bit. $10M could pay 20 fulltime devs for 5 years to work on these projects. This investment i
