Most European airlines have limits on the size of luggage you can take onboard. If you have baggage that is larger than the limit they’ll make you check it in, and charge you the airport fee which is a lot higher than if you booked it when

I suspect the amount of alcohol you need to drink to keep these pathways ‘excercised’ is probably a lot less than even moderate drinkers drink.

I was thinking about this the other day, and in the U.K. there are a lot of people who would say they are Christian if asked their religion, but really they are non-practicing or more likely atheists, but don’t want to admit it.

Based on the quality of the 1.4 release, I would say probably not. There were many glaring obvious bugs and omissions, so they must had been in a bit of a rush (i.e. badly managed) to get it out.

Regarding the pain, a few years ago I injured my lower back. Recently I haven’t really been paying much attention to it, and even just bending down to pick something up caused a little pain in my back and knees. A month ago I went to a heal

If password managers are going to become popular for end users it needs to be something that’s built into the browser and interopable. I’d love to see this turned into a standard that all browser and device manufacturers (when I log into an

My laptop (2014 MacBook Air) only has 4GB of RAM. Most of the time it’s usually fine with Chrome, Spotify, Slack, a Terminal, Rails, Webpack and Neovim (with ALE, so another Node process running). However I have to keep the number of tabs o

As a developer who should probably pay more attention to this than I do, can you recommend some reading material about how to make an app accessible, and how to make sure it stays accessible (i.e. is there a good way to CI test this?).

There is nothing wrong with being opinionated, see Rails and DHH - it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it worked well for the audience it was designed for. As I understand the issue most people have with GNOME is the choices the

I use i3 with some GNOME services. I tried full GNOME late last year, but I much prefer a proper tiling window manager. On MacOS I used SizeUp which fulfilled my requirements pretty well, but AFAIK there isn't something like that for G

I think a big takeaway from this is that just writing stuff down is important. Even if you don't die it could be useful; maybe you are involved in a car accident and forget the last 3 years of your life. Where do you store all of this?
