I wonder how well a tool would work that anonymises people - so those with power won't consciously, or subconciously, target people with brown skin and large beards - while still showing how they are behaving. You could even use camer

The GDPR haters need to realise this is exactly the sort of thing it is meant to prevent. The EU legal landscape is very different from the US, in that regulations protect consumers vs the threat of class action lawsuits. What would happen

I was at a conference the other week, and one of the big takeaways for me is how many people actually have some sort of disability. In the US for people aged 18 - 65 it's 10%, but for those over 65 it jumps to 37%. It's easy to di

So iOS does it one way, Android does it another, and your old DSLR still stores data in EXIF? Sounds like a great way to be locked into a certain vendor.

In smaller European countries it's even worse: - Even though the minimum wage here is half that of the UK, for some reason Netflix is more expensive, and has less selection. - They have no content in the official language of the countr

I was rather shocked reading this, so decided to look this up. It turns out paper bags are just as bad too: - Compared to a plastic bags their production releases 70% more air pollution, and 50x more water pollution. - To recycle paper bags

At a first glance the pricing of $0.10 - $0.025 per megabyte in Europe seems somewhat expensive. The wholesale rate is €4.50 per gigabyte or $0.005c per megabyte. I assume the markup covers the cost of maintaining the account and the access

In regards to #1 I'd suggest OP look into European companies. The different is a lot less, and if they don't mind working later in the day, you can easily get 6 hours overlap.

I can't beleive that it can be any worse than if people can get their luggage out. When you arrive to the gate on something like an A320 or 737, at the middle seats you often need to wait five minutes until everyone ahead and behind yo

Why does it even need to be reported? Tesla should be able to detect where autopilot is regularly deactivated or does some wrong (driver takes over with sharp input on brakes or steering wheel), and use that to deactivate it prematurely.

In my post-Soviet city that doesn't seem to be the case. I know of a shop that just sells car batteries - literally nothing else. They have maybe 30 products in stock, and can order it if you need something else. I don't think the

I imagine the premises for a lot of these types of businesses must be inherited. You can probably make enough to live pretty ok from a small business like this, especially if you aren't the sole bread-winner for your family.

There are plenty of existing jobs where people have to spend many hours by themselves. Think about truck drivers, they may spend weeks alone with nothing more than a few minutes chat to a fellow trucker they see at a truck stop.
