How much training do you need to qualify for this position? In Europe nurses typically study for 3 or 4 years, and then you are lucky to get much over minimum wage... In Western Europe, €30k/year would be a good salary for a nurse.

I agree that my original complaint was a bit of an overreaction, but I still think my complaint about maintenance and backwards compatability is true. I've been doing frontend development for over 15 years, and SPAs for at least 10 (I

IMO the frontend JavaScript ecosystem is a complete mess. Nobody cares about maintaining things properly or backwards compatibility. I mostly do backend, but occasionally do frontend work, and whenever I do I feel like bashing my head again

Well it will happen eventually if countries go 100% electric, but I doubt it will affect the average consumer for a long time. Fuel stations make most of their profits from non-fuel items (in my country, fuel stations sell some of the best

Yes don't cheap out. My local hardware store sells off brand wall plugs, but compared to Fischer they aren't even worth the packaging they come in. Fischer isn't that much more expensive, especially if you buy the bulk boxes

Case in point: This summer my family all came down with Norovirus, aka the "winter" vomitting bug. This is much more infectious than COVID, each year infecting roughly 685 million people.

I'm originally from the UK, and now live in a post-Soviet country and I'd say people here are much more accepting of people who are "different". I guess this is partly due to the history of Russia and the USSR, as there

Right and that's the issue... why is this needed in the first place? There's no additional security, it just prevents DIY types from repairing their own phone, as they don't want to buy a $500 tool.

Also happens with German cars that have electric gearboxes. Modern cars do not have a way to force them into neutral, so if you have an electrical issue or the battery dies, you need a tow truck with a crane to get you out of there.
