No, their i.reddit.com is the best variant and its extra light-weight probably for weaker devices.

It's apparently a Microsoft research project: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/project/checked-c/?... Very interesting to add additional compiler support to am existing language, in a sense.

I used to say that for a long time too, and its still technically correct, but so much in the prison system is part of a business (like phone calls and "work" and other necessities). A small introduction: https://www.gl

There is a story on HN right now about how 10 000 people lost their jobs at Foxconn, being replaced by robotics. If the evidence is "evident" shouldn't we proceed to look for solutions?

My point was only about how there are great minds out there who clearly are not like the rest, whether it be music or ability to perform in another professional capacity. There are Dota2 players who have played the game all their lives, yet

Perhaps, but they do get paid considerably by people to play like this regularly, live. So "you" here must be the viewership then.

Not at all, just listen to some of the musical channels on Twitch. Channels like pianoimproman (old man who is crazy good) and kylelandrypiano (young) are just leagues above the rest, yet there is no shortage of live musicians. I suggest wa

Yep, I completely agree. We need to draw a line between what's real and what's not. I could easily see teenagers use images of their crushes in an "app" that makes their dreams come true. Let's not go there. I know

I just recently had a problem with Wayland where qemu with VGA would not start at all, complaining about SDL not being able to find a video device. I eventually tried just logging out and then into Xorg and then it started working again. ED

This piece reads like paid shills explaining how it's not all bad and that we can still use the Internet. It was insulting to read and I couldn't finish it.

I remember hand-optimizing my code many years ago trying to re-use the same variable for many things, because it would be more efficient. I always think about that when I see people avoiding std::vector or other C++ standard library things.

I work from home as much as I can, but nothing trumps seeing your colleagues face to face. Text can also cause misunderstandings, and apparently no one likes video, at least in my company. I don't like video much either, though.

Windows is a pain to program on, and MinGW alleviates that somewhat. I do use CMake though, but I still want to use "normal" clang, so I have to generate a unix makefile. I don't want to maintain two sets of build systems.

I am baffled. That is some seriously dangerous lawmaking. Essentially a corporation was given the go ahead to gather evidence, in a private citizens house, for its own case. I don't see how this event can be twisted into any other stor

Going further: Some AI is interpreting all camera around the country in real-time. A single government employee is adjusting parameters according to what the current elected officials deem important. There is, however, extra CPU time dedica
