Allo and Hangouts don't share the same identifier (email/phone number). I believe that merging or converting is therefore probably impossible.

I can understand the strategic reason for embedding snapchat in every product, but I can not see how all those changes do anything different than making the user experience worse for those who don't use the Snapchat media format. My co

I'm foreign and maybe I'm mixing stuff up here but I always thought that giving companies (like Google) the right to decide on whom to employ is percieved to be deeply republican.

Then I'd be a bad conscript. I don't even own land.

If it's like it was in Germany they are probably drinking and messing things up. Which is reasonable, given someone disrupts your life and gives you a force hourly pay that borders satire.

If there's not enough voluntary participants they'll opt for forced labor. That's conscription. What do I miss here?

Six years ago I bought one of those longer Lacks for ~15EUR and heavily use it close to every day. The black top varnish seems to get pretty thin at the most used locations which is the only wear marks I can spot. I use it for eating, writi

He stole them? You mean they are gone now? Because the closest I can imagine happening is an unlicensed reproduction of your content, your credentials included. ... Like any archive service would do it.

The US civil discourse sometimes strikes me.. For example if the biggest (?) US newspaper advises you to travel with as little data as possible because the gov. border controls are percieved as morally outrageous and there's just no pr

I don't see how a spam bot would actually improve communications in the long term. If the individual tweets value diminishes after adoption of such tools, the only long term effect will be that tweets just will be perceived to be less

Some content is better, some worse. Arguing with the good content of our own generation against the bad content of the next generation is probably very typical for all of us.

I wrote that there are good and bad visions and that assessment over a visions affiliation differs, yes. And I am pretty sure I can tell the difference. Finding a position on a vision is something probably everyone can do. Bonus: In certain

I thought that is just the dismissive term for people that are believed to be destructivly committed to a specific idea. You are right in implying that it is rude. What would be the socially acceptable term for this phenomenon?

Nope, Putin, that won't make the LinkedIn requests stop. Fun aside I can understand that authorities would try new approaches on smaller players first. The quality of the administrative insight isn't necessarily tied to the scale
