Although in this use case, it's likely because GPT guided you to write the same story as somebody else. Talking with an LLM about an idea is a great way to make it more predictable and homogenized. If you're fixing a bike or writi

Some people get really weird if you approach their house in a way they don't like. I imagine if that happens a few times to you as a delivery driver, you might be more cautious.

DHH has certainly put a lot of tokens in. It's not clear that he's put much thought into it.

The random selection of people chipping in for this is so weird. Do they owe DHH a favor or something?

Back when DDR was still popular with the teens, my dad helped me build a dance pad to play Stepmania on, mostly out of plywood. We hacked up an old keyboard for it (using an Ethernet cable, but certainly not the protocol). Fond memories.

Have you looked at existing genomic alignment algorithms? I'd be surprised if Needleman-Wunsch didn't fit your needs.

It happens with a single chat session as well, but not as often. I suspect it's the same thing going on in the hidden thinking tokens.

Genuine question: am I missing some sarcasm here? When you say a CEO has to "talk to people", and then say it can't be done by a chat bot. That's literally the only thing a chat bot can do.

I'm trying not to break any rules, but. I went in expecting the joy and whimsy of RCT, and was very disappointed to see something that is visually soulless and barren. Which is to say, I don't think the comparison is doing you any

I can only find sources that define it the way I said, but I'm sure that folks who think a million dollars isn't enough to buy a house disagree.

There isn't one global "international law" for copyright. There are treaties that countries negotiate with each other. If the USA wanted a copyright treaty with China bad enough, we would negotiate one. China is not breaking

We must be operating on different definitions. Generational wealth means you have enough money to meaningfully improve the lives of your kids and give them a leg-up on life. A million dollars is enough to buy a house for each of your 2.5 ki

It would also be incorrect. "Up to" doesn't mean any possible upper bound, it describes the top of a known range. I can't say a car I'm selling goes "up to" 900mph if it tops out at 120mph.

It was also pretty slow (download rate wise), even if the destination and source node had a good link between them. I think the protocol had a lot of back-and-forth chatter, requesting blocks a few a time.

If you look at average ridership over time, you'll see that the times when it has 40-60 people on it give an average passenger density much higher than cars, even after averaging in the longer empty miles. (40 passengers is a pretty c
